January 31, 2012 - Jaxon Pants

Today my favorite moment was when I told Jaxon he needed to put pants on to go to school because it was cold today and if I let him wear shorts people would think I was a bad mommy and he said, "But you're not!"  He seemed so concerned that people might think that.  It was sweet he was concerned about it.  I just casually mentioned it, not like I thought he would even think twice about it.  I guess I need to remember they notice everything.

October 30, 2011 - Henry

Today my favorite moment happened when I told Henry to clean up some toys.  He said that Daddy dumped them out so Daddy needed to clean them up.  I asked Devin if Henry was making stuff up and he let me know that earlier Henry sneakily had Devin admit to dumping out those toys for Ollie to play with.  Henry thought if Daddy dumped them out, Daddy would have to clean them up even if Henry played with them.  Nice try Henry!  I told him, "You are working the system, Henry."  He said shyly, "I'm not working for the system."  He had no idea what he was saying, so it was adorable!
